The Design And Implement Of B/S General Test Database System

Currently, most schools and colleges in China are armed with hardware for campus networks. Most networks of the kind have the problem of software lag. The performance of these networks on management and sharing of information and data, on real time paperless office work is unsatisfactory. Thus, it is important to enhance the utilization rate of campus networks and to better information management on campus.The paper analyses the status quo and characteristics of current software for examination systems in china, refers to the existing experiences on test database management system development and test system development, and observes the teaching facts and test models in vocational colleges. As a solution to existing problems in these fields, a browser/server based database examination system is designed in the thesis.The system is developed in accordance to Microsoft windows 2003 Platform with advanced network programming technology. The server terminal of the network applies VBscript-based asp service architecture, while the browser terminal applies JavaScript and ActiveX technology.The system is divided into three individual parts according to functions. The first part is the system management part. It accounts for the following data layer managements: courses, test papers, difficulty degrees, test models, examinees, scores, examiners, and the output of related information. The second part is the test management part. It accounts for test paper distribution, answer sheet collection, test supervision and other few functions. The third part of the system is the PCs for tests. The PCs account for the upload and download of test papers, legitimacy control, time control and other functions.The system is of high adaptability. In addition to web-test and traditional test paper generating, scoring and students' status management is accessible by data transport among other teaching management databases. With the fast development of Internet, web-teaching is on the leap with online test network as a part of online course design.
