According to the professional disclosed, in 2005 Cable set-top box(STB) out in volume between 3-5 million in all country; Our country will stop the simulating television broadcasting in 2015.The broadcast television digitization is converted the simulates user to the digital user. At present, our country majority of broadcasting station, the television station are digitization in the gathers program, the manufacture, broadcast, the transmits and the link basically , only then receivers user's television is simulates. This already became the bottleneck in the digitization of broadcast television.In order to comply with the development of the digital television, to solution the contradiction the digital television technology fell behind at the application in our country, this article has conducted the research to in the digital cable TV receive core technology―― synchronous system, and discussed one kind of entire numeral synchronous system based on the software radio thought.DVB-C standard is the European digital cable TV transmission st-andards, extensive accepted by the international community. China cu-rrently has not released its own cable television transmission standards, but most broadcasting system has been applied DVB-C standards. So research DVB-C STB has practical significance.When the digital cable set-top box working, the entire DVB-C receiver work is establishment on the synchronized. This article take the synchronous system in the DVB-C receive front-end as a center. Detaile discussing symbol synchronization and carrier recover, discussed with emphasis based on the software radio thought algorithm. And in this foundation, unified the kalman filter to make the improvement to the carrier recover algorithm, enhanced the synchronous system performance. Take this as the premise, this article has constructed one kind synchronous system on the based of the software radio thought, this synchronous system has realized the QAM receive signal symbol synchronization and the carrier recover. In order to confirm the conclusion, used the MATLAB system simulate the performance of the system, the simulation result has verified the feasibility of this system.
