Image segmentation is an important research direction in image analysis and processing and it is the basement of latter processing. Meanwhile, it is the most basic matter in computer vision and image understanding and plays an important role in image project. The result of image segmentation determines the performance of top-level modules of image processing system, such as image analysis, image understanding, image recognition and the counting of image object.It is widely used in such cases as counting the number of product, analyzing the cell, and so on. The image obtained is usually touched to some extent, and even several target objects are overlapped. So, segmenting touched objects correctly becomes a important stage for later processing, so segmenting the touched objects became more and more important for us.There are some normally used segmenting methods such as: the image segmentation by threshold, gradient-based segmentation methods, edge detection and linking, region growing methods and the segmenting methods that based on the watershed transform and so on.
