Supplementing And Emending For Wang Shumin's Zhuangzi Jiaoshi

All through the ages, people do research continually on Zhuangzi. Many of those academic achievement has reserved, but some hasn't. There are a large number of works written by the ancient peope, such as the notes written by Si Mabiao, Cuizhuan, Xiangxiu and Guoxiang in Jin dynasty, Lu Deming's Zhuangzi Yinyi and Cheng Xuanying's annotates of Zhuangzi in Sui and Tang dynasty, Lin Xiyi's Zhuangzi Kouyi, Chu Boxiu's Yihai Zuanwei and Jiaohong's Zhuangzi Yi in Song and Ming dynasty, and Guo Qingfan's Zhuangzi Jishi in Qing dynasty. All these works give us kinds of opinions about Zhuangzi. These works have provided us lots of viewpoints, which have broadened our sight when we are studying Zhuangzi.Wang Shumin, a great master, whom no one could take the place of in the literary and history field. He has so many works which exert great influence on others. Wang Shumin has written a lot on the research of Zhuangzi. Zhuangzi Jiaoshi, his early work, has been an authority in the field of Zhuangzi. Everyone should read this book before their study. Zhuangzi Jiaoshi, has five volumes in all. It emends or checks the edition of Zhuangzi or works which does research on Zhuangzi sentence by sentence. Wang Shumin spent three years on this book. He cited plenty of literature, which makes this book have sufficient argumentation. At the present time, however, few people around the world comment on Wang Shumin's books. Since Zhuangzi Jiaoshi is Wang Shumin's first composition, it is hard for him to avoid making any mistakes. This thesis tries to correct some mistakes on Zhuangzi Jiaoshi, and expresses the author's understanding.
