Beamforming takes an important role in the multi-beam bathymetric. It can improve the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio(SNR) while canceling the interference and noise.The principle of conventional beamforming method(CBF) is simple. The operand is small. The steadiness is strong and it can be easily real-time realized. However its wave beam width is wide. After scholars several dozens years research, the beamforming technology obtained a huge development. Many high resolution beamforming algorithms have appeared.This article discussed AR modeling method, Capon method, MUSIC method and MN method four kinds of high resolution algorithms principle and has separately made the computer simulation in the ideal situation to the above four algorithms. Through the comparison, the beam width of high resolution algorithm is much narrower than conventional beamforming method. Then unifies the actual utilization, discussed the influence of time delay unbalance, time domain sampling, plane wave supposition and array element with scope and phase not identically to the beamforming and made the computer simulation. After consideration the above situation, the performance of high resolution algorithm drops is very fierce.The beam direction has the deviation. The beam width is stretched. The algorithm performance has the very big weaken. But the convention beamforming algorithm performance is stabler, time delay unbalance, time domain sampling, plane wave supposition and array element the influence which creates to it is not big. Thus draws the conclusion, the high resolution beamforming algorithm although has the superior performance, there are quite many problems before it is actual used. Finally, introduces the electric circuit realization of the transmitter principle prototype in the multi-beam bathymetric system.The hardware development divides into three modules to carry on, respectively was the module of signal occurrence, the central controller and the the module of power enlargement, the article separately discussed each module principle of work and the realization plan.
