Computer is being widely used in the area of educative measure and the progress of evaluate with the speeding development of computer and network technology and the rising level of informative society. Comparing to the traditional test, web-based online exam is cost saving and laborsaving in organizing test, reading test paper and scoring, and it break through the limited of time and spatial. The use of computer in various exam not only save the resources, but also increase the veracity and objectivity of scoring, and that it improve the efficiency of test work.In this premise, the article put forward a realizable online exam system scheme by creating web-service and adopting ASP technology. In the process of researching and developing online exam, we use the classic test theory as the foundation of theory of creating test-paper base, and use the means combined with latent tendentious theory to confirm the difficulty degree coefficient, and make the difficulty degree coefficient more objective, and implement the self-reacting of it. The innovative aspect of this paper is the methods of composing test paper randomly by planning various chapters' proportion as a whole, and this make the work of randomly composing test paper more scientific and more reasonable.In the research we establish a platform that is adaptive to various subjects examination by integrating the technology of ASP and the database server 2000. In this platform we can compose examination paper easily, read examination paper objectively, analyze examination paper and query scores. All of this reduced the burden of teachers to large extent. At the end of this paper, we carefully describe the security control of web-bascd examination system, which containing two aspects, IIS server security and examination system security. The security configure of server make sure the examination system well run and the program code safety, and it inhibit some users to destroy the examination system through illegal ways. The security of examination system is mostly the security and secrecy of datum, and it make sure the equity and justice of examination.This task is an important education reform item constituted in 2003 for ShannXi Normal University . The online exam system has been used by 4100 undergraduates and 316 instrutional masters in their final exam of Web-based course , applied and tested comprehensively in function, capability and safety of system.We analyse the data and get analytic resuIt.Some problems were discovered and improvemened pertinently. Now a steady, safe and dependable on-line examination system have been set up, and this system can complete satisfy the teaching of the public lesson based-on-network of Instructional Technology. We set up a commonly shared terrace for the other courses teaching based on network.
