Based on the application background of ITS and the character of city vehicle video, thepaper propose a novel criterion to describe city vehicle video in order to assist the analysis ofvehicle video in ITS. And then a software platform is developed to fulfill the criterion, whichis used to label city vehicle video. The research achievement of the paper can be summarizedas following:1. Research on Vehicle Video Labeling CriterionBased on the requirement of video analysis algorithms, a novel criterion of city vehiclevideo labeling is proposed after having researched the video labeling. The criterion can beused to label city vehicle videos. And these city vehicle videos which have been labeled canhelp assist the analysis of vehicle video in ITS. Also they can be used to train and test videoanalysis algorithms efficiently.2. Platform modeling based on UMLUML is the most popular standard modeling language at present. Modeling with UMLdescribes software platform and improves the efficiency of developing software platform.This paper adopts use case frame, sequence frame, class frame, component frame, state frameto analyze the architecture of software platform, improve the expansibility and reducecoupling of the modules.3. An integrated framework of video labeling, management and researchingAfter proposing the criterion of city vehicle video labeling, a software platform isdesigned and developed. The software platform has friendly interface and can be usedconveniently. Under the help of the software platform, users can label city vehicle videoquickly and accurately. It can help user to arranges and query video data conveniently.4. Processing of video datum.Under the vehicle video-labeling criterion, the labeling software is used to process videodatum. The training and testing of video analysis algorithms can be more efficient with thevide datum which have been processed.
