The accurate news reporting is a method which combines the social science's research means and the traditional techniques of reports. In recent years, this reporting method can be seen more frequently. In the process of world globalization, figures and data are considered more important to people's living. In the society we are living, having an accurate conception of news facts does have, on a certain level, some realistic functions. Meanwhile, coming with the market economics'developments and the democracy's arrival, civil living conditions,public opinions,situations of the audience and other factors are the significant points which gain much of media's attention. How to reflect and reproduce these factors scientifically will definitely be a standard, evaluating weather these factors can be considered as mainstream media. Therefore, taking a deep research in accurate news reporting is very important for us to broaden current means of reporting, change the conceptions of news and enforce the news reform.This paper is divided to three parts:The first part: the general descriptions of news reporting. The Accurate news reporting was started to develop accompanying the opinion poll of America in 1960s. Accurate news reporting began to rise in China in 1980s and enjoyed its gradual developments in 1990s. Why the accurate news reporting embraced its rise and growth in China cannot be separated from the political, economical and technical backgrounds in this country at that time. In other words, it was the age that need the accurate news reporting.The second part: the analysis of the characteristics of accurate news reporting.
