With development of information technology, people have enjoyed digital life. So many digital information, however , could make some social problem. Some important imformation could be unlawfully copied or attacked for spiteful motive. Therefore, security and encryption should be regarded as significant position. Recently, a lot of digital watermarking algorithms that have specific function have been designed to protect integrated contents of image. Fragile and semi-fragile digital watermarking algorithm has been produced for above-mentioned purpose.The digital watermarking technique conduct and actions international academic circles research of a follow the popular direction before to have count for much realistic meaning in information protect(copyright protection , reliability protection and integrated protection of contents) . The thesis mainly carries on the analytical research to the advantage and weaknesses of the fragile and semi-fragile digital watermarking algorithm proposed by other people. We design a novel semi-fragile digital watermarking algorithm to embed and examine, and as a result carry on the analysis to its experiment, argument the characteristics that this algorithm have (advantage and weaknesses) . This research will promote development of the expansion application of the digital watermarking technical.The thesis mainly discussed as follows several contents : (1) Summarized the research contents, general model that Integrated authentication of image; (2) Discussed the basic concept of digital watermarking, main application, theories foundation; (3) Discussed authentication Watermarking technique, specially the fragile and semi-fragile digital watermarking algorithm that exist already currently, as to it's the advantage and weaknesses carried on the analysis and researches; (4)Proposed and completed a semi-fragile watermarking algorithm based on content of image and integer wavelet, analyzed relative integrated authentication of the image contents.The semi-fragile watermarking algorithm this thesis designed already been carried out. By analysis to the experiment's result, the semi-fragile watermarking algorithm has the very strong robustness to the un-malicious attacks, having the good fragility to the malicious attacks at the same time.
