The Correction Of FuYi Edition Of LAOZI

LAOZI is one of the most ancient classical books in china. With profound and far-reaching effect, It has been widespread abroad. It has been praised by some west scholars up to now. There are lots of books that LAOZI were come down, assumably over 300 sorts. The most popular editions are WangBi,HeShangGong, YanZun,FeYi.The old edition, which was revised by tangfuyi, was obtained when people in PengCheng open the tomb of XiangYu's concubine in WuPING 5 Year of NorthQi emperor named GaoWei. Compared with the other edition, the edition FuYi keep more immemorial sentences, expressions and words. There were a lots of excellences, but it was revised by old edition, which existed respectable errors in itself. What's more, the edition was modified by later generations during the spread, which lead to erroneous words, redundant words, renegade words, inversion and some pieces having losing original visage of LAOZI.The A and B edition of LAOZI that were writed on the cloth were excavated from tomb 3 heap 5 MaWangDui in ChangSha of HuNan province in 1973. The two edition keep original visage of LAOZI in the forepart of Dynasty Han. So they have great value to the correction of the errors. The A , B and C edition of LAOZI that were writed on the bamboo were excavated from the tomb GuoDianChu in JingMen of HuBei province in 1993 .The threeedions are the most ancient ones. Because they were imbed, not being revised by later generations, they provided original testimony for our correction.There were lots of revisers of LAOZI, such as LuoZhenYu, MaXuLun, GaoTing, JiangXiChang, ZhuQian, and so on. But not only the cloth edition but also the bamboo edition was not what the gist they studied based on. So, the revision also had respectable errors. In view of the former, this article brings forward the revision advice to the sentence and words of FuYi edition, based on the cloth edition and the bamboo edition, consulting other editions at the same time, exercising the method of comparison. Through correcting, I found 237 erroneous words, 346 redundant words, 104 renegade words, 51 correction of avoiding words, 17 inversions, 6 faults of bamboo slips for writing.
