The Application And Method Of Cell Phone Digital Design Based On PRO/E

In the digital age, cell phone as the personal communication terminal is the most popular product in common use. When the functions of cell phone are upgraded and become perfect, more challenges about how to make more complicated and free way surface come out from the appearance design part and the manufacture part also. How to summarize the design methods and regulations quickly? How to cut the design cycle? How to promote the design efficiency and quality? All of these questions become more important now.This research focuses on the digital design method of the cell phone which uses PRO/E as the main digital design tool to integrate concept design, prototype design and digital mock-up of cell phone. It puts forward the construction strategy of digital cell phone prototype, analyses the top-down design method in PRO/E circumstance and at last sets forth the theory of cell phone design with actual models.The research brings forwards the theory which based on prototype design to make evaluation and analyse in the preliminary term of cell phone design. Following the theory we will not only reduce the cost of models but more efficiently modify the digital models to get an upgrade design at any time we want. It must be one of the most important ways to promote the design efficiency.On the basement of digital prototype, the research analyzes the key points of cell phone digital models construction and argues the probable ways of machining and assembly. The research suggests that the final detailed design is also very important, which insures the parts assembly and technical processes during the design process of form and structure.The rest of the paper sets an example of the cell phone for the old with the method and process of digital mock-up, which can probably provide an example for the digital design of cell phone.
