Automobile ABS is a non-linear, variable time and indeterminacy system. The characteristics of the tyres and mode of the automobile are indeterminacy。So the control method of ABS is one of the vital factors for deciding braking performance. It is impossible to establish a precise mathematical model to non-linear braking process. Intelligent control eyes on how to control but not control object. Intelligent control method is easier to realize the control for uncertain and non-linear control objects. It has a strong robust and anti-interfering characteristic, and just adapts to the ABS that is a variable work-condition and non-linear system. So an ideal control effect can be achieved.Now products of ABS are based on acceleration of car wheels and bang_bang contrl mode. The braking process based on experiential control method is overloaded with details. The control mode of the paper is slip. It is easy to realize continuous control, can improve braking stability, and can exert better braking effect.Principle of ABS and development of intelligent control are introduced in the paper, and the value and significance of the ABS based on the principle of intelligent control is analyzed.The computer simulation of the straight-line braking of the ABS is fulfilled. After the model established, the dynamic simulation is accomplished in the environment of Matlab/Simulink software with the on-off control, the PID control, fuzzy-PID control, the parameter self-regulating PID control based on wheel slip ratio.On the base of simulation, the sample product of the automobile ABS controller with Intel 80C196KB single-chip microcomputer is designed and made.
