In recent years, with the development of wireless technique and the popular of laptop computers, people have increased needs of mobility. People want to access network while moving, and to keep the communication. There are mainly two kinds of moving network techniques. One is base on center network devices, and the other is not. Ad Hoc network is belonged to the latter, and have many strongpoint. It can be quickly built up in anywhere and at anytime. So it suits for some special environments like military affairs, disaster salvation and temporary communications. Ad Hoc network has become one of the most important network techniques, and especially its route technique is a core research area.At first, this paper describes the basic conception and characteristic of Ad Hoc network, and points out its difficult problems. Then introduces the existing routing protocols in Ad Hoc networks, and compare the performance of some protocols. Most of these protocols don't provide the support for QoS. Though there are some QoS route protocols, they have the same problem of complexity. Multipath route protocols can provide more stable routes in Ad Hoc network, which is good for data transmission. Though there are many researches about Multipath route , almost all of them don't provide the support for QoS. So based on this , this paper describe a new protocol named Multipath-DSR with QoS parameter which is improved on traditional DSR protocol.
