With the background of application in enterprise, by analyzing and summarizing the application of GPS technology in different field, this paper proposed application of GPS in enterprise train transit dispatching system to improve security and efficiency, at the same time, the area of GPS technology was extended more. Except the aspects of traditional application, like position the vehicle and so on, it is also taken part directly in the dispatching work of train. Since the special move rule of locomotive, and by GPS system, the dispatching system implementates the automatic recognising of train's transportation task on railway.First, it mainly introduces the conception of GPS, and related technology.
