Research On XML Based Transform From Object-Oriented Model To Entity-Relationship Schema

With the rapid development of Internet, quick inflation of the amount of information has taken place and there has an increasing need for efficiently manipulating and exchanging data, so the mature relational database technology would be in face of many new problems and challenges. With the development of IT technology, the date models of RDB are more and more complex and difficult for traditional modeling methods. Now, the object-orient technology is very popular because it approaches the processing of analyzing, designing and implementing application systems. So it is a very practical and valuable subject that supervising modeling RDB data models by object models that generated by object-oriented technology.In this paper, we discuss the methods and attentions of the transform from object model to entity relationship schema. At present, the implementing of the transforming process is mostly manual work. We put the method of XML based transform from object-oriented model to entity-relationship schema and its using steps forward, describe the structures of object model' s XML document and entity-relationship schema' s XML document, exercise the method into practice to prove the feasibility. Using the methods, we can improve the autoimmunization' s degree and predigest the complicacy of modeling. RDB will benefit from the method and improve its application value.
