Research On Foreign Fibre Detecting Algorithm And Realization On Software

Detecting impurity for cotton is an important constituent part for all detecting cotton work. Through detecting impurity, we may know the impure content in the cotton. Inspecting amount of impurity and analyzing kinds of impure cotton help to improve on technologic methods for elementary processing cotton and lint of good quality. So impurity inspection is very important.This subject will carry out automatic filtration with chosen cotton based on DSP's real time image processing. The cotton's image data are collected by CCD and processed by DSP real timely, then according to a designed algorithm ,the foreign fibre in cotton will be detected and be eliminated by a given corresponding device cortrolled by the DSP. So, the treal time image processing echnology based on DSP has been applied successfully in cotton detection field. This article discusses about foreign detecting technology and foreign detecting system, especially the reality of the system. The image processing mathematic model is established by strictly proving. And the image processing algorithm which uses fewer times operations to take place of more times of multiplication is raised. By strictly proving with mathematic approach, the mathematic model and algorithm establish a comparatively impersonal evaluating system which benefits the reality of standardization a lot.The main frame and other modules, included demonstration module of the system are developed in Delphi 6.0 programming circumstances of the industry controlling machine. Detecting module is to realize real-time digital image processing, its kernel components is ADSP-21535 chip developed by ADI inc. It can be concluded from the experiment that the parameters of the system such as reliability and speed have meet the need of industry, and that the mathematic model and algorithm of the article have met the need of accuracy and real time of the system and have practical value.The mathematic model, algorithm and development experience of Foreign Fibre Detecting System in the article can also migrate and apply to other projects, especially projects of textile field.
