Palm diagnosis is one of the most valuable and widely used diagnostic methods in Tradition Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Holographic Medicine. It reflects people's health according to their palm's color, palm's shape and palm-lines'structures and so we can discover our disease and cure it as early as possible.Automated palm diagnosis uses computer to make palm diagnosis automatic. It could make palm diagnosis used more widely. It is worth to study both in theory and the society's value. It is also a field of creative research work.In palm diagnosis, one of the most important diagnostic features is some different pathologic structures formed by palm lines in different field, we call them special structures. These special structures are divided into closed special structure and unclosed special structure according to their frame. Different special structures in different area mean different disease and symptom, so it is vital to recognize these special structures exactly in automated palm diagnosis. Referring to the knowledge of palm diagnosis; this dissertation mainly studies the method to these special structures'recognition in the automated palm diagnosis system. The research includes following parts:1. The denotation of the palm-line undirected graph. First, define the palm-line undirected graph according to the palm-lines'character. Then, advance an algorithm for constructing the palm-line undirected graph according to the connection of the points on the palm-line. The method first find the vertex aggregate and the edge aggregate primary, then revise them after checking the radian of the palm-line between two vertices, the palm-lines'number between two vertices and the distance of the vertices.2. Investigating unclosed special structures'feature extraction and recognition. Observing lots of palm images and their palm-line undirected graph and analyzing the experts'knowledge, we extract the recognition features of cross structure and mi structure. Then realize these two unclosed structures'recognition by fuzzy mathematics.3. Investigating an effective algorithm for closed special structures'...
