The array-based high resolution direction-finding(DF) technique developed from the beam forming techniques and the spectrum estimation techniques is an important branch of the array signal processing techniques. Its main objective is to improve the performance of direction finding algorithms and fasten computations. It is widely used in many fields, such as the radar, communication system. Under the background of the radar, the super resolution algorithms and the array ambiguity are discussed in this paper.First, the theories of the MUSIC algorithm and the ESPRIT are presented here. Conventional algorithms are limited by the array configuration, and a constructing vectors algorithm, which uses the correlative function of array data, is proposed in this paper. This algorithm isn't restricted within the special array configuration, and it is also very steady. Because the signals of the target reflections are coherent, the reconstructing matrix algorithm which uses the time-shift correlation method is studied. Not only has it the good ability to solve the coherence problem, but it also reduces the computation because of the time-shift correlation instead of the eigenvalue decomposition. The interval between two array elements is affected by a lot of facts, such as the restriction of the environment, mutual coupling between array elements. Eleminating the DOA ambiguity has to be considered when the interval between two array elements is larger than the half of the wavelength. The method which eleminates the DOA ambiguity using the NULA is presented in this dissertation. The theory and the algorithm of the DOA ambiguity resolution is showed. The re-configurating array elements location is not necessary in this algorithm, and the ambiguiry is well suppressed.
