Development Of The Attendance System Based On IButton

Stuff-management system is the flag that scales the management standard in the modern enterprise. Attendance now plays an important role in stuff-management, so personnel-attendance management becomes the necessary part of modern enterprise administration. In the market, the emerging of some attendance machine takes place of the manual register and pushing-card, which desalts the manual track in the course of administration, and makes the administration more informational. In the traditional digital identification field, we often use the IC card, magnetism card and RF card as the media. However, these media have some disadvantage such as less convenient to take, easy to damage,not fit to bad environment.Dallas Semiconductor Corporation produced the intelligent information carrier iButton, which help us solve these problems. Its stainless steel package possesses the feather of anti-stock, anti-moisture, anti-rust, anti-magnetism and anti-fold, which satisfy the require of attendance system. IButton follow the 1-Wire communication protocol, that is to say, just one data wire can transfer the information.This paper introduces a design on hardware and software of the personnel-attendance system based on iButton, and analyses the basic function. The hardware is simple and reliable, by which the data can be collected and processed effectively and conveniently. Personnel-attendance management software is programmed for storing and processing the attendance related data, manipulating the machine, and building the particular and exact attendance-status statistical report. An effective encryption algorithm for the personnel-attendance system is introduced in this paper, which guarantees the security of the setting of purview. Hardware will be developed by MCU. The attendance management software will be programmed by Visual Basic 6.0.
