Ground-air guidance radars are becoming more and more advanced, for the development of electronic reconnaissance and interference technology. For it has many unique advantages, pseudo-noise linear m-sequence binary phased codedCW signal is widely used in the new generation air defense systems. The signal processor is the centre of radar, and CFAR processing technique is one of the most important methods to control false alarm probability in radar auto-detecting system. Based on the statistics characteristic of PRC-phase-modulation CW Phase-array Guidance Radar, this thesis discusses the signal processing method and CFAR algorithm of multiple repetition frequency pseudo-noise m-sequence phase coded signal.First in this paper, we review the development of radar signal processing and CFAR detector, analyse the structure and principle of the signal processor, CA-CFAR and OS-CFAR detectors. Then, in view of the characteristic of PRC CW signal, analyses the statistics characteristic of scattering bodies, models of target, noise, ground-clutter and weather-clutter are made. These lay a theoretic foundation of signal processing and CFAR detector.Then this thesis give a detailed analysis to the signal processing method and CFAR algorithm of PRC CW radar. The working process of PRC CW radar is derived and discussed deeply , the ideal system model of signal processor is also given. This paper also studies the statistics characteristic of signal, clutter and noise after the system disposal, and generates target data and detecting background noise using the simulated system. After this, this paper present the simple threshold CA-CFAR detector with little reference cell number, and analyse the relationship between the detection probability and noncoherent integration number, reference cells, then the relationship curve and an analysis is also given. Finally, the thesis simulate the signal processor and CFAR algorithm, discussed results are proved to be correct.
