Optical fiber grating sensors have been widely applied to key civil engineering for its excellent apperceive and anti-wear ability, however, nowadays the package and actual engineering application of optical fiber grating sensors cannot be realized without the macromolecule glue, the aging ability of macromolecule glue restricts the wear capability of optical fiber grating sensor, using metal-package technique without glue for optical fiber grating sensors can resolve these questions mentioned above.The optical fiber surface pretreatment craft processes and the technological conditions have been determined through the experiment, various craft procedures which influence the electroless plating nickel-phosphorus alloy coating quality have been analyzed, the most attentions have been put on the coarsening and the activation craft which determine the electroless coating quality.The orthogonal experiment has been used to optimize the electrolyte composition and the craft parameters, with the increasing of the main salt and reducing agent concentration in the electrolyte, the electroless plating coating's adhesive strength and the coverage ratio also increase; Increasing the complex agent content, the electroless plating coating's adhesive strength and the coverage ratio exist the maximum value; the electroless plating deposition rate distinctly increases when the electrolyte temperature and the pH value were increased, but the increasing of temperature and pH value affects the electrolyte's stability. According to generalized analysis, the optimal composition of chemical plating solution and the craft parameters are: Nickel sulfate 30g/L; Inferior sodium phosphate 30g/L; Lactic acid 20ml/L; Boric acid 20g/L; Sodium fluoride 1g/L; Polyethylene glycol0.1g/L,temperature 85℃, pH value 5.0. According to a series of tests and analysis of the coated ingredient and the performance, a guidance and reproduction technical craft has been obtained. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectrum (EDS) have been used to observe the coating surface and analyze the composition. According to the results of SEM and optical microscope, the electroless plating coating's morphology has been observed. The hot-vibrate experiment has been carried to characterized the performance of the coating.
