At present, many important traditional industries of our country, such as printing and dyeing, chinaware, textile, silk, carpeting and publishing etc, are facing flinty market competition from the world. The market requirements have been changed from little variety and large quantity to large variety and little quantity. The market mode is also been transferring to customization-centered style with the characters of "little quantity, large variety, quick consignment, and high quality". So products design together with arts and crafts become more and more critical for improving patterns quality and reducing consignment time.In the recent few years, intelligent patterns design systems based on artificial intelligence technology and graphic technology have gotten a rapid development. But these computer-aided patterns design systems, which mostly support one person's design instead of collaborative work for many persons, can't satisfy the cooperative operation requirement for mass capacity patterns. So it is important and significative to study the collaborative design technology for mass capacity patterns to improve patterns design efficiency. This dissertation studies some key problems about collaborative patterns design and realizes a prototype system under the above applied background.
