The Implementation Of Domain Operation And Application Research On Domain Data Model

At present, the enterprise-oriented Management Information System (MIS) has a great market demand. But, some problems, such as the design of enterprise structure and the process of access control, are not resolved commendably in the development and maintenance of MIS which is based on general data model. The reason is that general data model can't provide a corresponding way of data organization to support the management of enterprise information. Therefore, a kind of special data model named Domain Data Model (DDM) has emerged as the times require, which fit to the characteristics of enterprise management information and is used for enterprise MIS.First of all, the paper gives an introduction mainly about the general data model and the special data model, analyzing and concluding the characteristics of enterprise management information. Then, the theories of DDM is fully explained in the paper, including the description of DDM, the denotation and operation of domain relation, and the access control method based on DDM. On this basis, the paper demonstrates in detail the domain operation and domain manipulation of DDM as well as the definition and the implementation of arithmetic for four domain operation and four domain manipulations. Then, we summarize, with examples, the characteristics of DDM and explore the application of methods of DDM and finally analyses and contrasts are made on the efficiency of the module.The DDM that we introduced on this paper is a special data model, which is designed to better support the development and maintenance of enterprise MIS and can largely enhance the efficiency of the development of systems.
