Recently, with the development of the information and Web technology, the course of the enterprises' modernization becomes deeper and deeper. As an advanced management idea and tool, PDM has become an important means for improving the level of management and the strength of competition gradually. PDM has become an urgent need especially for manufacture which is the core of every industry.These days, the manufacture enterprises take advantage of the computer technology widely in order to boost the productivity unceasingly and buildup the abilities for competition. Because of the evolution of the computer technology, the computers have been used in the enterprises much more widely and deeply and manufacture based on network has been imperative under the situation. This dissertation discourses upon the developing and validating process of PDM system based on the manufacture of large-scale device. The development of this system is mainly based on the management of task distributing and the sharing of various information produced during the process of manufacture. The development offers the enterprise a good groundwork for management using computers in the actual manufacture.The study and development of this system is based on the actual production of the large-scale and complicated device's manufacture and is advanced after a elaborate analysis of requirement. The dissertation discusses the process of developing system in six chapters. It introduces the origin of PDM system, the process of its development and the actual status, then it discusses the relative concept, theory and basic postulate of PDM. It also analyses some related problems during the process of implementing PDM system for manufactures and expatiate on some affair flow of important modules and the partition of these modules.
