With more and more Fiber application, the excellent quality, more accurate precision and convenient measurement method are required. In this paper, the Geometrical Dimension of Six-Angle Fiber is measured by the technology of CCD and Image processing. The method has some characters, such as high speed, great precision, convenient application and so on.Firstly basing on a lot of reference, I designed the measurement system and Project. The system includes CCD, illumination model, optic model, data collection, digital image processing model. On the other hand, the theory of CCD and development are introduced, especially the choice of optic source, illumination model, lens was analyzed in detail.Secondly, the paper introduced system's problem of image processing and software design. According to the character of Fiber's image and basis on plenty of experiments, we choose that median filter method which can eliminate noise and Canny edge detecting method was applied. The Canny method can get the balance between edge detect and noise, and the edge is more integrated and continuous. For greater precision, Sub-Pixel Edge Detection Based on Spatial Moment was applied. It has great precision and don't be impacted by image gray level and edge position.Finally, it was analyzed that the measurement system error analysis and some improved method.
