Research On Merchandise Quotation Analysis System Based On The Integration Of ERP & MES

ERP is a kind of management tool with up-to-date information technology to support the enterprise to improve management level and decrease operation cost. However it still has several defects.One of the defects is that ERP is not so good at the execution of the planning even if it is powerful in developing schedule for material purchase and production. MES is a recently defined category of industrial software for the shop floor/manufacturing environment. MES can provide real time data to make the plan implemented efficiently, which exactly supply the gap of ERP in this area. Therefore it will be useful and beneficial for the management of the manufacturing factories to integrate the use of both ERP and MES.Another weakness of ERP is that it can not automatically analyze the first time business pricing for the merchandise because almost all ERP systems in current marketplace have ignored this issue and have not got any model to complete the specific task. We call this kind of weakness in this thesis as Analysis Absence of ERP from First Time Business Pricing.Based on the integration of ERP and MES, this thesis has not only described the concept and reason of Analysis Absence of ERP from First Time Business Pricing, but also discussed the algorithm model and concrete calculation formula to address the issue.A Merchandise Quotation Analysis System has been designed to address the issue of Analysis Absence of ERP from First Time Business Pricing. It is constituted by four databases called as Process Database, Merchandise Database, Material Unit Price Database and Merchandise Pricing Database. The core database is Merchandise Pricing Database System which can get data from other databases and implement the calculation for prices. Other databases can get original data from ERP, MES and web site.The concept design, table design and property setup of Merchandise Pricing Database have been demonstrated with details. In addition, the relationship between the tables, menu design for data key in and prices calculation plus data output also have been presented with description and interface show.
