Along with the computer network and the multimedia technical fast development, the Internet popularization, the information security problem day by day is specially prominent. Now the information hiding technology, specially the digital watermarking technology took the copyright protection the important method, obtains extensive research and the application. The digital image watermarking technology took one kind of emerging copyright preservation technology, its essence is utilizes the imagery processing technology realization information hiding; Its core is inserts the digital watermarking information to the image in, at the same time the guarantor eye cannot feel the picture quality the drop, also is the guarantee joins the watermark the invisibility. This is one solution copyright question effective method.The digital watermarking technology fundamentally said that, belongs to the information hiding technology, therefore this article first introduced the information hiding technology base wooden concept, the classification, the application and the research condition. Then has analyzed in the information hiding technology digital watermarking related theory, the basic principle, the typical algorithm and its the method of attack with emphasis, and has carried on the analysis and the summary to image watermarking some typical algorithms and the attack method.Next, has studied the wavelet analysis, the discrete cosine transformation and the DES basic thought and the theory frame. Through the research which decomposes to the image wavelet has produced the wavelet transformation in the digital watermarking application superiority, and was typical to several kinds has carried on the narration based on the wavelet transformation watermark plan.
