The mapping between a IP address and a domain name facilitates people's memory, which help to the Internet pervasion. Nowadays, the mapping has been the Internet's infrastructure, and plays an important role of acceptance of all kinds of applications, such as Email, WWW, and so on. In the Internet, the mapping service is provided by Domain Name Service ------ DNS.As DNS offer the mapping service between a IP address and a domain name or vice versa, it is paramount for it to be availability, reliability and security. So the request to DNS is analyzed at the beginning of the paper. After narrating the basic concepts and technologies about DNS, the paper introduces the IPv6 the anycast address type and the anycast communication. Making use of the anycast communication and deploying the DNS server reasonably, the load balance issue can be effectively solved.According to the specific environments, the paper proposes the design targets and design principals. Based on the those, a design approach is proposed to solve the DNS request load balance via the IP anycast communication. By configuring and planning the Cisco and Juniper routers, the design is implemented. And it is applied in the network practically, the need is satisfied highly.By monitoring the DNS server using the scheme and analyzing the result, the approach to balance the DNS requests we designe is an effective way to assure DNS' availability, reliability. And It can reduce the investment.
