Research And Implematation On Routing Protocol Conformance Test Platform

As the core in the network, the implementation of routing protocols will directly determine the stability and reliability of the network. Also it will determine the quality of applications. So it is very important to guarantee the correctness, interoperability and performance of the routing protocols through routing protocol testing.Routing protocols testing includes conformance testing, Interoperability testing, performance testing and robustness testing. The Conformance testing is the most important part among them. It is the base of other testing. Even though the conformance testing has gotten many achievements, many fields are still in research now.Routing protocols are characterized by their complicated states. And there are many types of data. So, in order to accomplish routing protocol testing, we shall consider all these questions as follows: How to design a method to describe these data, how to find an efficient test suit description language and how to develop a test platform.Based on the deep research on theory of protocol testing and routing protocols, this thesis developed a protocol-testing platform. Also verification experimentations were carried.This dissertation consists of four parts of work as follows:1.
