In the field of computer graphics, the generation of realistic 3D human face model is a challenging problem, and more and more attention is attached to it. This thesis mainly focuses on how to automatically model the precise 3D face from a video captured by a low cost camera. In this video, the illumination condition is uncontrolled and the movement of face is unlimited except that the first frame is approximate to frontal view.First, to make the whole system work automatically, the system must detect face automatically, successfully and rapidly. This thesis makes improvement to the boosting cascade and proposes a framework called boosting chain. In this framework, the chain structure is introduced to make use of the historical information in the following learning process.
