Applied Research Of Software Testing In The Embedded ECDIS

With the demanding development of software product quality, software testing is gradually stressed and applied as the important means for software quality assurance. The paper makes a deep study on embedded software ECDIS test technology and that study results should be used in practical test. The main tasks of the paper include:This paper firstly studies the basic test principles and techniques for software testing, and makes general analyses for the current domestic study on software testing and its study highlight, which has laid the theoretical foundation for detailed study.From the practical view, the research applies the Software Metric techniques in ECDIS testing. From the results of using these techniques, it is proved that Software Metric techniques can not only measure ECDIS, but also analyse the shortcoming and illogicality of ECDIS design and structure, which directs the software testing work.Analyses have been made for the features of ECDIS, and in the view of these features, the paper has come up with a suitable strategy for testing work. Improvements have been made for Model V of software testing, which emphasis on the independency of static analysis and code execution, and the close relationship of software developing and testing. The work provides theoretical basis for modifying software test processes.According to the studied software testing principles and technique results, with a typical ECDIS embedded software test process, the paper has fulfilled an independent and complete test design and test execution for a launcher software. The suggested test strategy and test model are verified, proving that the designed model can increase test efficiency while ensuring ECDIS software quality. In the test design process, special emphases have been put on working out of test specifications, which has laid the foundation for software quality control and software configuration control.In the end, the paper makes deep analyses about ECDIS software testing results from respects of code checking memory leaking and running performance, and concludes frequent code errors in ECDIS.
