Hybrid Electrical Vehicle is a new-style vehicle with environment protection and economic energy. This paper mainly works on the second program on innovation of vehicle advanced design and produce science and technology of "985 project" about research of HEV electrical control system in Hunan university.Combined with a researching and developing program, a new design method for a kind of parallel hybrid vehicle is presented in this paper. At first, this paper analyses the main technologies of new electric vehicles-pure electric vehicle (PEV), hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and fuel cell vehicle (FCV). Then it presents the main design of a parallel vehicle. Based on that, a CAN bus network is used to control all components and its protocol of application layer is also designed.An intelligent energy management controller which based on DSP processor is developed in this paper. Based on the software-AVL Cruise, the model of vehicle is establised. The control strategies based on fuzzy logic is the most important point in HEV control system. The results show the excellent effect of our control strategies.At last, the arithmetic of induction motor is discussed aiming at the nonlinearity, time-variability, uncertainty and time-lag of induction motor. Fuzzy-PID control is proposed, and is used in the real controller. The control system has good dynamic and static behaviors as well as robustness.
