| As a communication system of a new indoor short distance radio-communication, Ultra Wideband (UWB) communication system is focused. It is crucial to deal with the interference problem for the further development of UWB systems, such as Multi-User Interference (MUI), Inter- Symbol Interference (ISI) and Narrow-Band Interference (NBI).In this paper, the characteristics and the modulation methods and interference problem of conventional UWB communication system are introduced at first. Then applying Modulated and Modified Hermite Pulses (MMHP) to the IR-UWB system are proposed from the viewpoint of waveform design. We analyze the frequency spectrum and the correlation characteristics of the MMHP. On the basis of the MMHP, we yet propose Pulse Shape Modulation and Pulse Shape Hoping in order to reduce interference.Finally, the performances of the MMHP UWB communication system are studied after computer simulation. We conclude the MMHP UWB system can reduce these interferences effectively by comparing with the conventional TH-UWB system. |
