This paper discusses several questions about imaging algorithms of missile-borne strip SAR. Mainly it discusses three imaging algorithms—classical Range-Doppler algorithm, linearity Range-Doppler algorithm and improved Range-Doppler algorithm.Classical Range-Doppler algorithm is an imaging algorithm which making two-dimensional signal processing into two one-dimensional signal processing. This paper discusses its theory and processing flow. Based on the algorithm of vertical side-looking SAR, this paper dicusses the algorithm improvement of small and large squint side-looking SAR. And also simulation is made to analyzing it.The signal character of missile-borne strip SAR makes in favor of correcting the linearity range walk in time domain. Based on the character this paper discusses the theory and processing flow of the linearity Range-Doppler algorithm, and make simulation to analyzing it. Also this paper discusses the problem of geometric correction for SAR image.Also based on the signal character of missile-borne strip SAR, this paper discuss the theory an processing flow of the improved Range-Doppler algorithm. The algorithm completes range migration correction through correcting the linearity Doppler frequency line. It can avoid one time inserting processing and reduce calculation. This paper analyzes the calculation and also the simulation is made.
