Study And Implementation Of The Technology Of Distributed Workflow Based Agent

Current workflow management systems need to solve the problems including the integration of enterprise applications, dynamic business process adaptation and so on. Recently, the popular solutions involve building distribute architecture using Agent and describing business processes using ECA rules.In this paper, a workflow model based on message and rule is proposed, according to whichan agent-based workflow system is designed. The system uses ECA rules to describe the task relationship and uses messages to deliver control and data flow between tasks. Furthermore, the schema of task assignment is designed based on an organization model. The communication language is designed for the cooperation between agents. On the basis of J2EE platform and relational database, the prototype of distributed workflow based agent is built.Various agents in the system encapsulate the workflow engine or task execution module, which is available to integrate business progress in distributed environment. Using rules to conduct task execution has a kind of flexibility, also messages based on KQML reduce the burden of communication.
