Recently, as the rapid development of the scanning technology, computer performance and computer graphics, 3D Model technique has been widely used in many applied fields. The development of 3D Model technique gives great impetus to many industries. And 3D Model data has become a fourth multi-media data type succeeded sound, picture and video.The development of the Internet provides support to the propagation and share of 3D Model source. Facing such huge 3D Model data source, how to find the needed model quickly and exactly has become another hot topic. It concerns many fields like AI, computer vision and mode distinguishing. The comparatively good retrieval technique today mainly based on geometrical shape feature and geometrical structure feature. The extraction of feature emphasizes an exact mathematical formulation. The feature is abstract. The calculational method is precise, but it also has its limitation. It has a relatively high request towards the models and the robustness is relatively bad when the features are extracted. And the retrieval methods differ greatly from human's recognition modes. According to the application level at present, 3D Model retrieval techenique is still at the beginning moment. It has a long way to go to establish a real-time and intelligent retrieval system.This paper emphasizes research on the intelligence and efficiency of 3D Model retrieval system. It proposes a way of retrieval that to establish a rough set for the image features,which is based on the view based and image texture distinguishing techenique and apply the rough and ART. At the same time, combining the text retrieval method, to distinguish and claasify 3D models according to the rough set.
