With the development of wireless communication signal processing, IC(Integrated Circuit)design and related technologies make mobile communication in a new course of development. Singleness of mobile terminal's function has become the neck-bottles of Third Generation mobile communication. This paper studies on the realization of the recording function. This paper analyze the component of the hardware, structure of software and the method of realization, especially study on the hardware chip and module of software of company's development platform. Hold the working principle, clue of design and development tools of the development platform. Lay the foundation for development of new function.This paper analyzes the situation of voice coding, working principle and signal processing of adaptive multi-rate voice coding and decoding. This paper does analysis and debugging of the algorithm software and build up the platform of collection and analysis of voice data. Analyze the property of AMR voice compressing algorithm from time domain, frequency domain, listening and compressing ratio using this platform.This provids proof for selecting of compressing algorithm of sound recording.Through analyzing working principle of mobile terminal and adaptive multi-rate (AMR) voice coding and decoding algorithm, this paper proposes recording design scheme based on AMR voice compressing algorithm. According to this scheme, physical path is built up. Plot out modules of recording software, design the detail of the module, write the codes of the software and debug the program. Finally, debugging of software modules and function debugging of total software are completed and have been employed commercially.
