Isoline study is a fundamental and important part in Visualization in Scientific Computing .It has been used widely in many different subjects such as Geoscience, Aerography and Iatrology. In project ,which is the explanation of geological information system, isoline map is a basic graphics show function the main task is accomplishing this function.This paper mainly discusses the theory knowledge of the building ,smoothing ,filling and labeling of isolines and their algorithmic realization, as well as an application of isoline in the explain of geology information system, at last it gives some suggested argument about isoline study's next work. All of algorithms in the paper have been used in some applied project.In the part of isoline buliding, proceed from actual data, this paper puts emphasis on the interpolate value griddling about random discrete data. Besides discussing several interpolating value methods ,this paper also provides the nearest neighbor method, moving average method and so on. The process of program design, this paper adopts edge-information structure which gives the convenience for isoline tracking. As for as four isopoints in one grid cell ,this paper puts forward a simple and feasible method that is using the nearest distance point as next isopoint .This way also agrees with spacial theroy which the nearer point in space, the more possibility resemble attributes.In the part of isoline smoothing, for the sake of avoiding the unsmoothed isoline ,this paper presents several smoothing methods. Fistly providing five point to power average and resembling average smoothing methods are easy to understand and complete, then make comparison between them.In the part of isoline filling, Firstly isoline character is deeply researched in this paper ,then two methods which one is based on border points-tracing algorithm for region filling of isograms, the other is based on equivalence region with same attribute tracing for...
