The optical fiber grating is one of the passive devices of optical fibre with the fastest developing speed in recent years. Develop with constant completion of technology its, its application study in the field of sensor cause people's attention more and more. As sensing component, optical fiber grating have following advantages: resistance of electromagnetic disturbance, repeatable measure, high steady in a long-term monitoring, high measuring precision and distributed measuring, etc. This makes the application of optical fiber grating sensor in the structural state of concrete, power industry, medical science and energy chemical industry , have all made considerable progress in recent years. At present it has become one of sensing way of most outlook for development in the field of civil engineering structure.With the rapid development of construction of expressway of Yunnan province, the collapse of the slope appearing on the expressway is frequent day by day , influence the normal running of the expressway, and bring very great loss to country. To monitor slope can avoid or reduce some questions of the slope, such as low stability, Being destroyed and the collapse and so on. Optical fiber grating have fine sensing characteristic and can monitor for 24 hours stability of slope.This paper supported by the slope's monitoring project of Yunnan province. Based on the application of fiber grating in the slope's monitoring project, we carry on the research work of the following aspects:1. To have introduced the principle of the optical fiber grating sensing technology, to have analyzed strain and temperature sensing model of the optical fiber grating and to have developed a kind of optical fiber Bragg grating strain sensor.2.By analyzing the topographty of the Slope Bailijin , Based on the frame's beam, to set the sensing scheme of the optical fiber Bragg grating3. To complicated topography of slope Bainijing, to have elaborately designed the location of frame's beam where the optical fiber Bragg grating is fixed and optical cable is adhered. To have encapsulated the melting joint of optical cable and optical fiber Bragg grating that play temperature compensations' function.4. Because of huge monitoring data amount, we have developed management information system of the slope monitoring in order to manage these data.
