With the rapid development of economy, there is tremendous achievement in our country bridge building. But bridge structure was damnified inevitably and its resistance was attenuated duo to the destroy effect of environment. More and more people concerned how measure and monitor the health of bridge. The strain of bridge structure is main performance to estimate bridge health. There are much system of structure health measure and demodulation in all over the world, but the system exist biggish limitation in practice application because of the lower speed and precision of data acquisition. With the rapid of embedded technology, there is preferable production in the research of optical fiber Bragg demodulation based on embedded technology. However its cost is too high, moreover the system function updating and expanding is not convenient.Thus, it is very important research significance to design a monitoring system of bridge health, a optical fiber Bragg demodulation system based on real-time embedded technology, which is multicenter and multi-sensor distributed auto-adaptive measure, high speed and precision but low cost. So this research task has mainly accomplished several aspects as follow below:1. To analyze the bridge structure monitoring status in all over the world and the environment of bridge, to compare several data communication mode so as to confirm the communication mode of the system.2. To analyze and design the general structure scheme of the bridge health monitoring system, to design the structure and function description of the monitoring terminal software according to the system requirement.3. According to the communication mode and the format of gathering data, to design the data communication protocol between the terminal and the optical fiber Bragg sense signal demodulator.4. To design and implement the monitoring software system for real-time measure bridge health using multithreading technique in VC++. The software function includes data communication, processing, storage and data curve display and so on.
