The Research And Implementation Of Several Key Problems In Deductive Object-Oriented Database

Deductive database and Object database (DOOD) are two extensions of relation database (RDB) technology. The deductive database technology not only extends the query ability of RDB, but also keeps the mathematical basis of RDB. The object-oriented database can provide abundant data models. These two technologies have complementarity, so the combination of deductive database and object-oriented database is surely to be a focus of database domain. It won't be just a simple merging of these two relevant research directions, it also involves basic object-oriented data model, basis of object-oriented database theory, and logic-based query language, process of structured object(complex objectc), and architecture and development of a database .This thesis improves and expands the existing SD-DOOD, appending a kind of complicated data type: set on the base of data model of SD-DOOD; it also support active expression and set expression; exploit further approach for the combination of deductive database and object-oriented database. The main work of this thesis is summarized as follows:1. The syntax and semantic of the DOOL with set and inheritance are introduced and the constraint conditions are illustrated from the point of view of semantic.2.
