In this paper, the dispersion properties of a circular dual-core microstructured dispersion compensating fiber and a circular three-core microstructured dispersion-compensating fiber were caculated using the Compact 2D-FDFD method. Obtained results of the former were compared with that of the hexagon dual-core microstructured fiber. This work has some value to the design and application of the microstructured optical fiber.This paper's main content is shown below: 1.The dispersion of fiber , the research condition of the dispersioncompensating fiber and the calculating methods of the dispersionproperties in the microstructured optical fiber were summarized. 2.The basic theory of the FDFD method, application of the anisotropicperfectly matched layers and the validation of the Compact 2D-FDFDmethod were introduced.3. A kind of circular dual-core microstructured fiber was proposed and its dispersion properties were calculated, Obtained results was compared with that of the hexagon dual-core microstructured fiber.4. A kind of circular three-core microstructured dispersion-compensating fiber was proposed and its dispersion properties were calculated.
