The Database technology is one of the most important parts of the computer technology. With the development of Database technology, it already became the important part of the advanced information technology. The Database technology is the foundation and core of the modern computer information system and application system. Facing to the complex enterprise application, the persistent layer was proposed day by day and developed unceasingly. The persistent layer has largely enhanced the efficiency of the system development, it has acted as the more and more important role in the enterprise application. The advantage which persistent layer takes to the application system is not only simplifying the performance period, reducing the develop period and so on, but also reducing the workload of the maintenance, running and management of system. So, it would be convenience to promote and maintain system, and reduces the cost of the system.Firstly, this article introduces the persistent layer theory: principle, commonly use type and mode of data loading, and so on. For questions, it has brought forward solutions. Secondly, united the intelligence middleware project, it has developed one kind of persistent layer based on the relational database with the swi-prolog language. Finally, it shows how to use this persistent layer to provide the durable support to prolog facts. Says specifically, this article has mainly done the following 3 parts:1. Researching, choosing and optimizing the persistent layer.2. Realizing the chosen persistent layer with code3. Basing previous existing persistent layer, the article designs one kind of persistent mechanism which could generate facts dynamicly.
