The Research For E-home Firewall Technology

With the development of science and technology,E-home(Home Network) is present to people's life.E-home is a new concept,it can realize information exchanging and sharing among several users,which infuses new energy into family life.But at the same time,the security of E-home becomes an important question.So,in order to defend E-home,configuring firewall at what border is a method.The research is carried out under such a background.In this text.I introduced the firewall and its trend firstly.Then,as the platform,I analyzed Windows 2000.The main function of firewall is prevention non-warrant accesses from outer host to inner host.One of the top technologies are to restrict the connection between outer network and inner network.NAT has the capability. When a host of outer network accesses one inner host,if firstly,it must establish connection with one inner host,but it don't know the IP address,secondly,the inner host's address is remained in inner network,it doesn't allow to transmit on Internet,thirdly,the inner NAT table hasn't the certain connection item,So the request for connection don't be allowed by NAT, which plays an important role in defending inner network.At chapter 3,1 introduced the NAT technology and its designment in detail.To resolve security question in network,IP security must be resolved.IPSec protocol uses powerful code authentication protocol and encryption algorithm to protect the integrity and confidentiality or IP communication,and is an available method in resolving IP communication's security.Chapter 4 analyzed IPSec and gave the designment.However,integrating firewall with NAT and IPSec brings the compatibility problem.At chapter 5,I firstly analyzed their relationship of IPSec and NAT .then.according to the characteristic such as that the firewall system is placed at the network border.this text gives the solution.
