The open water body on the earth surface takes up 74% of the earth's area, sothe water body remote sensing is extremely important in the study of the globalenvironment. The water surface's reflected radiation takes a little information of thewater body itself, and its intensity is relevant with the water surface's character, suchas water surface's planktons, water surface's ice layer, foam belt, etc. However, inthe middle region influenced by sun glitter, the reflection energy acutely increasesdozens of times more than the water body's upward radiation energy, which nearlymakes the sensor saturated, and can not distill water body information from the totalradiation energy. Therefore, the study on the sun glitter's eliminating methods is theimportant tasks of the water body's remote sensing.For long time, about the sun glitter mentions many, but the concrete solutionsare few. At present, mainly has following two kinds: one is set the satellite CET to12 o'clock at noon. It can reduce the sun glitter influencing region, but could notavoid the sun glitter completely. The other is designed the sensor into three scanstates?vertical, forward inclining 20° and backward inclining 20°, then splices thethree images, may effectively eliminate the sun glitter. Now, the polarized peeled-offmethod of sun glitter has been study in this paper.The paper used the metering equipment of bidirectional reflectance to study themulti-angle reflection spectrum and the polarization reflection spectrum of waterbody mirror reflection. Through completely surveyed and systematically analyzedthe reflection spectrum and the polarization reflection spectrum of clean water in 2πspace, proposed the polarized peeled-off method of sun glitter, eliminated theinfluence to water body remote sensing by sun glitter. Eventually, the suitable-timedesigning mode to water body remote sensing had been established.The study contained the following several aspects:1,Researching the physical mechanism of water body mirror reflection and itsbasic physical characteristic in water body polarization spectrum;2,According to the spectrum of water body, gained the affirmation of physicalacquaintance;3,Using the polarization technology, discussed the peel-off method of waterbody mirror reflection;4,Discussing and suggesting the pattern and the time of water body remotesensing.
