Decision Support System Of Gansu Education Management

In view of the present situation of lack of the application of DM(Data Mining) to support the decision-making in the range of educational fields. The paper expounds totally the basic concepts of DM technology, types, process, tools, methods and analyzes the concepts and structure of EDSS(Educational Decision Support system ) and the integration and design of EDSS.Moreover, the paper depicts generally the current development of the DM technology and EDSS at home and aboard, also sums up the types of educational decision & process of decision-making and the characteristics of educational decision-making and system. Based on the value of application of EDSS, the paper comments the DM technology on the value of application in EDSS and gives the model of EDSS which is being applied in educational system with DM technology. Then it puts forwards some methods and approaches in the application of EDSS and initially establishes the database of educational relationship by collecting and arranging a large number of educational data and develops the software: Data Decision Support System of Gansu Higher Education. This software analyzes the relevant data of higher education in Gansu in recent years and mines the potential information and knowledge of data. The paper reveals the existing problems which are the establishments, preserves and applications of educational data in the current educational and administrative management of university. Provided with many references for educational decision support, it will be beneficial for the establishment of educational database.
