Much attenion has been attracted by organic thin-film field-effect transistors (OFETs) in the past decade. Research on the performance of OFETs and the mechanism of the carrier transport in tunnel is not only a significant topic related to physical chemistry, solid-state physics and microelectronics, but also one of the frontiers in the field of organic molecular electronics.OFETs have been widely applied to many fields and obtained greatly success since it has been invented.The merits of OFETs contain:(1)more film technique;(2)simple fabrication technologies and low cost;(3)can make large area device;(4)can improve OFETs' performance by modifying molecular structure;(5)can make into different figures because of their good machine processing capability.In thesis, the development, device configuration, work principle of OFETs are described systematically. What is more,explain how to choice materials used in OFETs, such as organic semiconducting materials and insulation materials. In our work, we have made two structures device: top-contact and bottom-contact. We have tested output characteristics of devices and get the field-effect mobility of devices.
