Research And Development Of Product Design Patent Retrieval Analysis System

With people pay more attentions to the appearance of the products, product design play more and more important function in the market competition of the products, and the product design patent information not only contain much market information, but also reflect the newest design trend. So the research of the product design patent can help designers to open their eyes and help company's decision-maker to make good decision.This paper research the technology of searching product design patent and analyzing product design patent, and finish the development of retrieval and analytical system of product design patent. Because product design patent contain much text information and image information, this paper combine the technology of content-based image retrieval and feedback technology to search the patent on the basis keyword search models. According to the characteristic of the patent picture, we combine the color feature, shape feature and texture feature to search patent image, get detail patent information. Then we use relevance feedback technology to do second search. We use 20 colors none uniform quantization histogram based on HSV space to express image's color feature, use texture spectrum descriptor to express image's texture feature, use edge pixel neighboring histogram to express image's shape feature, use the feedback algorithm of move query point and change the weight of feature to do second search. On the other hand, patent information has very high market value, so analyze patent is very useful. We use the quantized analytical method to pick up such information as time-region distribution of the amount of patent, the amount of patent which the company owns in special domain etc. Company's decision-maker uses the information to make good decision. Meanwhile we research a method to analyze the development path of a product's appearance. At last, according to the research above, we finish the development of the retrieval and analytical system of design patent.
