With the fast development of the electronics technology, the embedded system has been the part of our daily life. The applications' demands in each field have highly increased. High speed digital signal processor is an efficient way to implement real-time embedded system and high performance. At the same time, operation system for embedded system is continuously strengthen the embedded system. The content of this paper is mainy for how to construct a high demand of real-time and high performance embedded system.DSP has fast operation speed and programmable I/O interface. These wonderful characteristics make DSP widely used and become more popular in digital signal processing field. So how to shorten the development period and make a proper product with high perfrmence become more concerned with engineer.With the requirement of the automatic train control system of national rail way, the key techniques of high-rate DSP board based on TMS320VC5409A chip and details of DSP applications of CRC decoding are systematically studied in this paper.In order to fulfill the system requirement, the papr firstly makes a rough introduction on key technology of designing DSP system. After giving some information about the DSP chip, the paper designs the DSP mini system which includes power design, clock circuit design reset circuit design memory design , JTAG interface. Espetially use the 16C554 chip to extend serial ports to implement the internal and external communication. The paper also integrate the CPLD to implement the system logic. Finally the paper mainly expain the CRC concept and carry out it in the DSP system. For excute independly, the paper also construct the BOOTLOADER.
