With the rapid development of networking technology, guaranteeing the QoS became a common need to many applications, being different from the conventional data transmission service. The router should have strong internal performance and differentiated services to offer high QoS to time-sensitive data transmissions.The Crossbar switching router is widely applied, its main feature of QoS strategy is mainly on aspects of scheduling, by forwarding based on the fixed priority. Its performance might not be good enough due to the dynamic changes of data streams. If the arrival process and scheduling were put into a unified consideration, it could be expected to improve the overall QoS performance of the crossbar switching router.Firstly, the related issues were studied and router structure and the scheduling algorithms were analyzed. And then an improved framework of the switching router was proposed by integrating DiffServ formation strategy with M/M/S queuing model and scheduling algorithm. Then the plan that the input queuing rule and the scheduling algorithm was designed, the deficit round-robin queue's queuing rule based on the transmission priority and the forecast match exchange line scheduling algorithm was proposed in the plan. Finally, The simulation results showed that the proposed scheduling algorithms did have the ability to provide better services to high priority data streams and better switching capability.
